A very nice, clean, quiet motel. We were pleasantly surprised. Check in was quick , the owner was helpful and knowledgable about the area. Our room was spotless, everything worked, had a microwave , refrigerator, coffee pot, and hair dryer and 8 pillows on each bed, and wifi. And it was so reasonable. Several blocks down the street was a great restaurant for breakfast. After staying several previous nights in chain motels, this was a refreshing change. I would give it 4 stars and recommend it to anyone!

My family and I have stayed at this motel on 3 different occasions. I have nothing but good things to say .  The rooms are clean and inviting .  The people are very friendly. The beds are comfortable. I would definitely recommend to anyone and would stay again.

A very nice, respectable business in Wisc. Room was spotless, yet very basic. They even have an outdoor grill with hightop table & chairs for guests. Bed was hard, that is my only negative. Family lives on premises and couldnt have been nicer. No breakfast or pool, small coffee maker in room. We were surprised at how quiet the doors closed, what a change from chain hotels. They still use old time key. All in all Id definitely stay here over the chains while in Monroe.

I have stayed at this motel a few times. It has new owners now and you can see that they are making changes as they can. My room was clean, check in was quick, and the owner was a very pleasant young man. I love these Mom and Pop places and try to utilize them when I can, especially when you see they are trying to make improvements. I would definitely recommend it as it was reasonable and quiet, good place for other escorts (of Oversized semi”s} that go through this area. Actually, would recommend it for anyone. Does not have the pool, but did have a fridge and microwave in the room.

Room Tip: microwave and fridge were in my room and it is a one level hotel, very quiet..

Our room was clean and quiet. It had a fridge, microwave & coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. The Wifi is open and fast (by hotel standards) without having to wait for IP address. There is still work to be done for the new owners: the wallpaper in our room is coming off at some seams. There is indeed a picnic area but it has a charcoal grill. A gas grill would be more convenient. Who travels with a bag of charcoal?
If you don’t need a swimming pool, staying at Gasthaus instead of one of the chain hotels present in Monroe will save you a few bucks and get you a good night sleep. Please ask for a room away from the highway if traffic noise bothers you.

Two families traveling together. This was the only option for miles. We were pleasantly surprised. Very clean, very comfortable, very affordable. We will stay again if we can. It was very quiet, the host/manager was professional and pleasant to talk to.

A very clean and quite roadside motel with almost all of the amenities found in the chain hotels at a much reduced rate. If life ever brings me back to Monroe I will be staying at the Gasthaus Motel. The location is perfect for all of Monroe’s attractions and ones hip is local which is a plus. Room has a microwave,refrigerator and great television with cable. All in all a great value.

We have seven people in our family . We reserved 2 adjoining rooms. Gasthaus Motel was our choice for a motel and we made a great decision. The rooms were very very clean.. beds were comfy..the people there were very nice. and it was reasonably priced!!!  We would definately stay there again on our next trip to wisconsin…A+++
